True Crime Anthology Season 1: I Sexually Assaulted More Than 1,000 Students

"I Sexually Assaulted 1,000+ Students" is adapted from the sexual assault case of Robert Anderson, a campus doctor at the University of Michigan in the United States. Anderson worked at the university for nearly 40 years (1966–2003) and, using his position, sexually assaulted more than 1,000 students under the guise of "routine medical examinations." Most of the victims were male athletes. Over the decades, the university received multiple complaints but never took action. Anderson died in 2008 and was never criminally prosecuted. In 2022, the University of Michigan reached a $490 million settlement with 1,050 victims, setting the record for the highest compensation in a university sexual assault case in the United States. This series reconstructs the case from Anderson's first-person perspective, showing how the power system allowed evil to continue for 37 years. No identifiable markers, locations, or building names of the real university appear in the series, and the real names of the people involved in the case are not used.
